BILIC HAPPY WITH WIN

The former Croatian national team manager Slaven Bilic has said that he is extremely satisfied with the win over Spartak Moscow in the league. Spartak Moscow and Lokomotiv Moscow are the traditional rivals in the Russian league, and Slaven Bilic masterminded a 2-1 win over Spartak Moscow. He said after the match that the result was extremely important. Slaven Bilic took over the job at the Russian club in the summer after leaving his post as the Croatian national team manager. Even though it has not been a great start for Lokomotiv Moscow in the Russian league this season, Slaven Bilic is confident that results will improve over the course of the season.

Lokomotiv Moscow are currently in the fifth position in the table with just 13 points on the board. The club was coming into the match against their arch rivals after suffering a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Dinamo Moscow. Roman Pavlyuchenko and Dame N’Doye in the match against Spartak Moscow to help Lokomotiv Moscow recover from going down to goal in the first half to win the match. As a result of this victory, the club now moves on to the fifth position just four points behind the leaders.

“I would like to congratulate my players on the victory and thank them for their outstanding play. Today, we have won against a very serious contender, which has been selected in the group stage of the Champions League. We had a shaky start to the match after conceding a goal early on in the game and which resulted from a stupid defensive mistake. In the first half I was very pleased with the way my team fought,” said Slaven Bilic after the match. The club will now face Rubin Kazan in the next match.
